The Lower Rhine and the nature park „Hohe Mark“ in the western Münsterland are regions that were created for bicycle tours: beautiful landscapes, great cycle paths with low gradients and everywhere possibilities to stay – ideal conditions to „let your soul dangle“.

2 outdoor pools, 1 indoor adventure pool („Din A mare“) as well as the NiederrheinTherme in the Mattlerbusch district are close by, the golf club „Hünxer Wald“ and the golf club „Bruckmannshof“ e.V. in Hünxe-Bruckhausen as well as the tennis courts of the SGP Oberlohberg and the TV-Jahn Hiesfeld are just a few minutes away.

But also other destinations are very easy to reach from us, such as

– the“Centro“  and the „Gasometer“ in Oberhausen

– theMovieParkBottrop-Kirchhellen

– the Landschaftspark Nord and the newly designed inner harbour in Duisburg

– the popular musical theatres on the Rhine and Ruhr (from Bochum via Essen and Oberhausen to Düsseldorf and Cologne)

The Hiesfeld Mill Museum and the city centre of Dinslaken with, among other things, the „Burgtheater“, open-air venue for many cultural or musical events such as the annual „Fantastival“, are located in the immediate vicinity.

The Gasometer is more than an industrial monument. Since it was closed down around twenty years ago, it has become the landmark of the city of Oberhausen and also the unmissable identification mark of an entire region. Built at the end of the 1920s, Europe’s largest disk gasometer is an impressive reminder of the heavy industry that shaped the Ruhr area for more than a century.

But whoever enters the Gasometer does not only get an impression of great engineering art. The recognition of the technical achievements of industrialisation is mixed with the fascination for the incomparable spatial experience of this gigantic „cathedral of industry“.  Today, the Gasometer provides a unique setting for cultural experiences of many different kinds. Exhibitions, theatre or music can be rediscovered and experienced here with all senses.  As a venue it has inspired artists of international importance.

Voßwinkelshof Dinslaken

The city history museum Voswinckelshof is located in a former aristocratic residence on the edge of the old town of Dinslaken. The permanent exhibition presents urban development from the beginnings of settlement up to the 1970s. Concrete persons stand as examples for certain events in the town’s history.

Other sections show the living and habitation of people in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
A toy collection of the children of „fine“ and of „small“ people as well as a section on school completes this part.
